This Teaching Assistant role will involve supporting a pupil with SEN on a 1:1 basis, alongside assisting within the wider classroom environment. Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:
* Support pupils to make strong academic and social progress under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
* Deliver targeted interventions on a 1:1 or small-group basis as a Teaching Assistant
* Help create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
* Support pupils with emotional or social barriers to learning
* Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
* Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
Person Specification for the Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
* A degree or equivalent qualification is preferred
* A genuine passion for education and supporting young learners
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn as a Teaching Assistant
