The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The successful candidate will be integral in helping the team’s performance through proactive involvement in the estimation /booking function. You will ensure the timely production of accurate bid proposals and approvals for major projects, by delivering all necessary bid components to agreed targets, deadlines, and customer commitments for desired financial and operational performance.
You will:

Manage all tenders and budget estimates for major projects
*
Use a variety of quotation sources to generate quotes and estimates for customers
*
Track and follow up on all quotations
*
Build strong customer relationships
*
Gain industry knowledge and a keep up to date on all packages available to ensure accurate quotations.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
*
Previous experience in a project/ bid preparation role
*
A background within the Engineering or Construction sector (Elevator/ Escalator industry desirable)
*
A strong understanding architectural/ structural schematic drawings
*
Proven ability working to targets and have a confident, clear telephone manner with a positive “can-do” attitude
*
Good IT skills and be highly organised
*
Problem solving skills, with a solutions orientated mindset and the ability to think outside the box.
*
Bachelors level degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
*
Depending on levels of skills and experience, you will need to complete training onsite in our London office.
