Role:
· Lead civil engineering design activities on rail infrastructure projects.
· Develop and review calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and design packages.
· Ensure designs comply with relevant legislation, Network Rail or TfL standards, client requirements and CDM obligations.
· Provide technical assurance, resolve design issues and support constructability reviews.
· Coordinate with other disciplines, clients, contractors and stakeholders to achieve programme and quality requirements.
· Mentor engineers and technicians and provide proportionate checking and technical guidance.
· Support bids, fee estimates, programmes and client presentations where required.
Requirements
· Chartered Engineer status
· Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
· Substantial civil engineering design experience, including responsibility for technical delivery and design assurance.
· Demonstrable experience delivering projects in the UK rail environment.
· Good knowledge of Network Rail and/or TfL standards, assurance processes and project delivery stages, including PACE or equivalent.
· Strong communication, commercial awareness and the ability to manage priorities across multiple projects
Salary description
£400.00 - £425.00 per day
