The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

They are looking for a HGV/ Trailer Technician looking to take a key role within the operation, This is a hands-on role where your expertise will play a vital part in ensuring our trailer fleet remains safe, compliant, and roadworthy.
Carry out scheduled and preventative maintenance on HGV trailers in line with manufacturer guidelines and company standards
Perform thorough inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential safety issues
Complete mechanical, structural, and bodywork repairs to minimise downtime and maintain fleet reliability
Accurately diagnose mechanical, braking, suspension, lighting, and electrical faults
Rectify defects efficiently to ensure trailers remain safe, roadworthy, and compliant with legal requirements
Record all findings, repairs, and corrective actions in line with company procedures
Prepare HGV trailers for MOT inspections, ensuring all components meet DVSA requirements
Identify and address potential MOT failures in advance
Maintain high compliance standards through attention to detail and adherence to legislation
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised workshop van
Ensure tools, equipment, and consumables are managed effectively and replenished as required
Carry out daily vehicle and equipment checks to maintain safe working conditions
Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience as an HGV Trailer Technician, Mechanic, or Fitter
Strong technical skills with a methodical and safety-focused approach
Commitment to health and safety standards within a workshop environment
NVQ Level 3 qualification
