Deputy Manager
1Four1 Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a children’s residential care provider for a Deputy Manager in Winkfield.
This permanent role pays from £38,000 per year. You will support the Registered Manager with the daily running of the home while leading and developing the residential care team.
The role
The home supports children aged 8 to 17 with complex needs and trauma histories. You will help maintain a safe, nurturing and well-run service that meets Ofsted standards and the Children’s Homes Regulations.
You will also deputise when the Registered Manager is absent, giving you valuable experience for future progression into a Registered Manager role.
What you’ll be doing
* Supervise and support Team Leaders and Residential Support Workers.
* Oversee care plans, risk assessments, safeguarding and daily records.
* Support staff recruitment, induction, supervision and development.
* Contribute to inspections, audits and service improvement plans.
* Participate in the on-call rota and respond to incidents when required.
What we’re looking for
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification.
* At least one year’s experience in a senior or supervisory role within a children’s home.
* Experience supporting children with emotional, behavioural or complex trauma needs.
* Good knowledge of Ofsted standards, safeguarding and the Children’s Homes Regulations.
* Full UK driving licence.
You must be willing to work towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
An Enhanced DBS check will be required. Sponsorship is not available, so you must already have the right to work in the UK.
