We are seeking a professional and highly organised Medical Secretary to join our client based in Windsor. Providing comprehensive secretarial support to consultants and clinicians. This is a temporary position with the possibility to be extended.
Key Responsibilities
As a Medical Secretary, you will be responsible for:
Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to consultants and clinical teams.
Managing busy consultant diaries, coordinating clinics, meetings, and appointments.
Preparing, proofreading, and distributing medical correspondence from dictated notes.
Processing referrals, investigations, and clinical documentation accurately and efficiently.
Liaising with patients, consultants, GPs, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate appointments and ongoing care.
Monitoring and maintaining patient records, ensuring documentation is complete and up to date.
Tracking diagnostic results and ensuring relevant information is available when required.
Responding to telephone and email enquiries in a professional, courteous, and confidential manner.
Supporting the wider administration team to ensure an efficient and responsive service.
Maintaining strict confidentiality while handling sensitive patient information.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
Previous experience working as a Medical Secretary or within a medical administration environment.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A professional and empathetic approach when dealing with patients and clinicians.
Experience managing multiple diaries and coordinating appointments.
A good understanding of medical terminology.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and patient management systems where applicable.
Excellent typing skills, with audio typing experience being highly desirable.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Pay Rate: £14.50p/h (Weekly Pay)
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-17:00pm.
