The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major infrastructure programme at Heathrow Airport. Working as part of a high-performing delivery team, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of civil engineering and construction works within a live airport environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer with experience in major infrastructure, aviation, rail, highways, or complex civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
Setting out and surveying works in accordance with project requirements.
Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Producing and maintaining accurate site records and as-built information.
Supporting subcontractors and site teams with technical guidance.
Reviewing drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
Managing quality assurance processes, inspections, and testing.
Assisting with temporary works coordination and permits.
Liaising with project managers, planners, designers, and stakeholders.
Ensuring compliance with Heathrow Airport standards and procedures.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Site Engineer on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
Strong setting out experience using Leica, Trimble, or similar equipment.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Experience with QA documentation, ITPs, and site reporting.
CSCS Card (essential).
SMSTS or SSSTS desirable.
Heathrow Airport experience advantageous but not essential.
Background in aviation, rail, highways, utilities, or major projects preferred.
