How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Job description

About The Role

We’re looking for a Product Designer to help define how people at the world’s largest companies work with AI day to day.

At Magentic, you’ll design the core product experience for enterprise users interacting with AI agents that can manage complex procurement and supply chain workflows in real time. The challenge isn’t making AI feel futuristic, it’s making powerful systems feel intuitive, trustworthy, and genuinely useful for the people using them every day.

You’ll work across the full product experience, from understanding user problems and shaping workflows through to designing interactions, testing ideas quickly, and collaborating closely with engineers to bring products to life.

This is a highly hands-on role in an early-stage environment. We care deeply about thoughtful product thinking, clear user experiences, and designing systems that people can actually understand and trust. We’re looking for someone excited by ambiguity, fast iteration, and the opportunity to help shape both the product and how we build it as a company.

We’re pushing the boundaries of AI with next-generation agentic systems that can manage entire procurement workflows. Our mission is to make manufacturing supply chains more resilient in an increasingly unpredictable world, representing a $3tn global market opportunity.

We’re backed by leading investors including Sequoia Capital, and our small team brings together experience from companies including OpenAI, Meta, Revolut, NASA, and McKinsey & Company.

What You'll Do

  • Own end-to-end product design
  • Translate complex AI interactive use cases into simple, intuitive interfaces
  • Work closely with customers to understand problems and iterate on solutions
  • Bring your designs to life using the latest AI technology, to enable lightning fast iteration
  • Quickly iterate product ideas through the use of low and high fidelity mockups
  • Translate product ideas into testable design artifacts, from early wireframes and user flows to polished high-fidelity prototypes
  • Collaborate with engineering to validate the feasibility of your designs and bring ideas to life
  • Contribute to and evolve our design system and UX standards

You Might Be a Great Fit

  • Have 4–7+ years experience in product design
  • Have designed complex, data-heavy or AI Native products
  • Have strong UX sense, you simplify complexity rather than add to it
  • Comfortable working in early-stage / 0→1 environments
  • Confident working directly with users and collaborating closely with engineers

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with supply chain, procurement, or enterprise tooling
  • Experience building or contributing to design systems

Compensation And Benefits

At Magentic, we recognise and reward the talent that drives our success. We offer:

  • Competitive Equity: play a real part in Magentic’s upside
  • A salary of £100,000 - £110,000 per annum
  • Visa sponsorship available
  • In-office lunches provided
  • Monthly organised socials and an additional flexible monthly social budget for team lunches, coffees, dinners, or activities with colleagues
  • Salary sacrifice pension and nursery schemes
  • Hybrid London HQ (3-4 days in the office/customer site)
  • Annual team retreat—a fully-funded off-site to recharge, bond, and build

Our Interview Process

There are a few components because it's really important that both we and you have all the information to make a great decision at this stage of our journey. We can move quickly through these stages, so let us know if you have any timelines we need to meet.

  • Initial call (30 mins): this first step is an opportunity for you to hear more about Magentic and the role, and for us to learn more about how your experience aligns with the role.
  • Take-home task: in this step we'll set you a task to complete at home and submit for review
  • Skills interview (45 mins): in this step, we'll talk through your task submission.
  • In-person interview: for the final step, we invite you to come meet the team in-person and work alongside us! We find this is the best way for candidates to get a sense of what working at Magentic is like. This day will include a culture interview, a role-specific task and a discussion of your work with the team.

Responsible AI Statement

At Magentic, we are committed to developing artificial intelligence that benefits humanity. We push the limits of AI's capabilities and are dedicated to its responsible and safe deployment. Recognising the profound impact of AI, we ensure that its development is centred around human needs and safety, incorporating a wide array of perspectives to fulfil our mission.

Equal Opportunities and Accommodations Statement

Magentic is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, gender, gender reassignment, marital or civil partnership status, age, disability, pregnancy or maternity, or any other basis as protected by the Equality Act 2010.

We actively encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds and cultures and believe a diverse workforce enhances our ability to deliver innovative solutions. We also ensure that our employment decisions are based solely on individual qualifications, merit, and business needs.

Magentic is dedicated to providing reasonable accommodations to job applicants with disabilities. If you require any adjustments during the recruitment process, please indicate this in your application or contact us directly.
