Here at Aspire People we are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Job Coaches to join our team and support our incredible partner College for SEN pupils aged 18+.
We have a range of opportunities available, including full-time, part-time and ad hoc cover, making this an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals looking for flexibility or those seeking to develop their career within education and specialist support.
As a Job Coach, you will play an important role in supporting students to develop their employability, independence and workplace skills, helping them prepare for successful transitions into employment and adult life.
The Role
As a Job Coach, you will:
* Support students in developing employability and workplace skills.
* Provide encouragement, guidance and practical support in a range of learning and work-based environments.
* Help students build confidence, independence and communication skills.
* Support students during work experience and vocational activities.
* Develop positive relationships with students, colleagues, employers and other professionals.
* Encourage students to overcome barriers and achieve their individual goals.
* Promote independence while providing appropriate levels of support.
* Follow individual support plans and contribute to students' progress and development.
* Maintain a positive, inclusive and supportive environment.
* Support on a 1:1 basis as well as running sessions for groups of pupils.
About You
We are looking for people who have previous experience working with young people with SEND, additional needs or barriers to employment as well as:
* Passionate about supporting young people and helping them achieve their potential.
* Patient, approachable and an excellent communicator.
* Reliable, adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
* Confident supporting individuals with a range of needs.
* Motivated to make a genuine difference to students' lives.
* Able to build positive and professional relationships.
* Experienced in education, care, employment support, vocational training or a similar setting (desirable but not essential).
