How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Client
    Our client is a leading engineering and construction contractor delivering major, technically complex projects across the UK and internationally. With extensive experience across the data centre, life sciences, commercial and critical infrastructure sectors, they have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects safely and efficiently.
    The successful candidate will join an established project team working on a major data centre development in Didcot, Oxfordshire, providing an excellent opportunity to develop their EHS career within a fast-paced and highly regulated construction environment.
    About the Role
    Our client are currently seeking a Junior EHS Advisor to join the project team on a major data centre project in Didcot, Oxfordshire.
    This is an excellent opportunity for a junior or early-career H&S professional looking to develop their practical site experience and build a career within the construction and data centre sectors.
    Working alongside the wider EHS and site management teams, you will support the implementation of health and safety procedures, site inspections, audits and day-to-day EHS activities across the project.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Support the EHS team with the day-to-day management of health and safety on site.
    * Assist with regular site inspections, safety walks and audits.
    * Support the review of RAMS, method statements and safe systems of work.
    * Assist with accident, incident and near-miss investigations.
    * Help monitor subcontractor compliance with project EHS requirements.
    * Support the delivery of site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
    * Assist with identifying hazards and ensuring appropriate corrective actions are followed up.
    * Maintain accurate EHS records, reports and documentation.
    * Support the implementation of the project EHS management system.
    * Help ensure compliance with relevant UK H&S legislation and company procedures.
    * Work closely with Site Managers, Supervisors, subcontractors and the wider EHS team.
    * Promote a positive and proactive health and safety culture across the project.
    * Take the opportunity to develop practical experience across a large-scale data centre project.
    Requirements
    * NEBOSH General, Construction or equivalent qualification (or working towards).
    * Some previous construction/site experience is desirable.
    * Strong interest in developing a career within Health & Safety/EHS.
    * Good understanding of basic UK H&S principles.
    * Good communication and organisational skills.
    * Proactive approach with a willingness to learn.
    * Ability to work effectively as part of a wider project team.
    * CSCS or willingness to obtain
