We are supporting a leading global bank on the appointment of a Capital Markets Lawyer for an initial 6-month contract, with the potential to extend to 12 months.
This is a role within the bank’s capital Markets Legal team, advising on a broad range of capital markets matters and providing transactional support to the bank’s capital markets business across multiple international jurisdictions.
𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲:
• Advising on complex employment matters including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, restructures, redundancies and terminations
• Providing advice on capital markets matters, including new products and capital markets initiatives
• Providing transactional support to capital markets businesses across multiple regions and jurisdictions.
• Acting as lead lawyer on complex, multi-jurisdictional capital markets transactions
• Working closely with regional and country Heads of Legal to provide support to the business
• Identifying and finding ways to reduce legal and reputational risk
• Liaising with external counsel where appointed, including defining scope of work, overseeing quality and managing legal costs
• Working closely with country legal and compliance teams on local regulatory issues
𝗪𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿:
• 3+ PQE with strong Capital Markets experience
• Broad Capital Markets experience rather than a focus on one specific product area
• Experience handling complex, multi-jurisdictional Capital Markets transactions
• Strong drafting and advisory skills across Capital Markets documentation and transactions
• Commercial, pragmatic and confident working with senior stakeholders
• Financial services or investment banking experience is preferred
• Experience working across international jurisdictions is a plus
