The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
An established metal fabrication and manufacturing company in County Durham is recruiting an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join their production team.
This Welder / Fabricator role covers welding, fitting, setting and assembling fabricated structures to design specifications, working closely with the Team Leader to hit agreed production targets. It is a varied Welder / Fabricator position within a well equipped, established workshop.
What you'll be doing
* Welding, fitting and assembling metal structures to design specifications
* Evaluating engineering drawings and working to required standards
* Meeting individual and team targets in line with agreed dates
* Completing safety checks and documentation to standard
* Carrying out welding and fabrication tasks using a range of equipment
* Transferring material around the factory as required
* Contributing to new working methods and process improvements
* Following 5S and wider health and safety standards
What we're looking for
* Minimum Level 3 in Fabrication and Welding Engineering, coded certification is an advantage
* Over three years in a relevant industry, competent in Mig, Tig and heat welding
* Good attention to detail and a solid grasp of maths and engineering drawings
* Experience of Lean working practices
* A flexible, team focused approach
