The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Own Car required (although some pool cars are available)

This is an exciting opportunity to become a Clerk of Works within the Accommodation Department and will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to make a real difference.
The Clerk of Works is responsible for on-site quality control, ensuring that works are conducted to the specified standards whether that’s construction, redevelopment, or maintenance on Family Accommodation portfolio and report the findings.
The Clerk of Works must have strong technical knowledge and the ability to identify potential issues, along with appropriate mitigation methods. The Clerk of Works will play a key role in identifying, reporting, and preventing fraud and errors
Essential:
• Strong background in construction, site inspection or building control.
• Knowledge of building regulations, health and safety and contract compliance.
• Experience in quality control, snagging and ensuring work meets specification.
• Construction experience is essential with an HNC/HND in Construction Management, Building surveying or Civil Engineering OR qualified by experience with lower qual ie 10+ years’ experience
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Good IT skills including the use of MS Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Adaptable to change
Desirable:
• A professional membership for example – ICWCI (institute of Clerk of Works and Construction Inspectorate) CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building) could be working towards
• Public Sector experience would be a nice to have
