How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Champion the Brand (Optional): Build a public editorial presence by attending book festivals, conventions, publisher previews, and cultural events. What You'll Bring

Experience: 3-5 years of experience editing, curating, or merchandising content at a digital-first platform, a publishing house, or a major books retailer.

Cultural Awareness: A deep empathy for your market's pop culture and publishing landscape, allowing you to curate resonant stories and quickly identify the right authors, series, and titles for any situation.
Digital Merchandising Skills: Proven ability to tag content, curate complex storefronts, and manage digital audio/book campaigns simultaneously.
Analytical Mindset: Comfort using both quantitative and qualitative data to inform and defend editorial decisions.
Inclusive Curation: A track record of building and implementing diverse recommendations that reflect a broad range of cultures, people, and perspectives.
Organizational Excellence: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage tight editorial schedules across multiple regional markets.
Bonus Points: Proven relationship-building skills within the publishing industry and a deep enthusiasm for the evolution of audio and spoken-word content. Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience in digital merchandising and your specific market expertise (Spain/Italy or Poland).
