At Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions, we are looking for an Area Sales Manager to join our commercial sales team, working with a distribution and contractor customer base across Yorkshire & Humber, selling our British Gypsum and Isover products.

You will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with national and independent distribution partners and contractors within an agreed sales region, implementing a profitable and targeted sales plan to improve market share, product mix and commercial performance.

You'll be a practiced salesperson with a strong distribution and contractor mindset, highly customer-focused and experienced in selling construction products or solutions through distribution channels, with the ability to track projects from specification through to completion.

This is a field-based role, with regular travel required to cover the Yorkshire & Humber region.

What we're looking for:

Experience working in a sales role, ideally within construction, building materials or distribution
Strong commercial acumen, including negotiation and margin management
A proactive approach, able to spot opportunities and fact-find through effective questioning
Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels within distribution and contractor organisations
Confident tracking live projects and pipeline opportunities to identify where our products can be specified and supplied
Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities across a regional customer baseWhat you will be doing:

Proactively manage, service and grow opportunities across the regional distribution and contractor customer base
Track live construction projects within the region, identifying opportunities to influence specification and secure supply
Support and negotiate commercial agreements in line with regional and national strategies
Regularly visit distribution partners and contractors to build, maintain and grow long-term partnerships
Act as the key point of contact between distribution clients, contractors, internal sales teams and wider stakeholders
