Aerospace Manufacturing | 3, 4 & 5 Axis CNC | Process Engineering
A leading aerospace and defence manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join its highly capable engineering team based in Romford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled manufacturing engineer with strong CNC programming and process engineering experience to play a key role in developing complex aerospace manufacturing solutions across machining and production engineering operations.
The successful candidate will be involved in CNC programming, tooling and fixture design, process development, continuous improvement, and new product introduction activities within a precision engineering environment.
The Role
Develop and optimise 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC programmes to meet manufacturing requirements
Design and develop work holdings, jigs, fixtures, and tooling solutions
Create robust manufacturing methods to support first-time-right production
Own and maintain production routings, tooling, gauges, and process documentation
Determine tooling and material requirements in line with engineering specifications
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity
Ensure projects are delivered within budget and agreed timescales
Develop and improve manufacturing documentation and process control procedures
Research and evaluate emerging manufacturing technologies to support future business growth
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within precision engineering or aerospace manufacturing
Strong CNC programming capability across 3, 4, and 5-axis machining
Experience developing machining processes and manufacturing methods
Background in fixture, jig, and tooling design
Aerospace or defence manufacturing experience preferred
Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, and process optimisation
Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
CAD/CAM experience highly desirable

£48,000 – £60,000 DOE
