Cover Supervisor - Northampton

We are currently working in partnership with a range of welcoming and supportive secondary schools across Northampton who are seeking confident, reliable, and adaptable Cover Supervisors to join their teams either immediately or from September 2026.

Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with long-term placements offering excellent potential to progress into permanent roles for the right candidates.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning by supervising pre-prepared lessons during teacher absence. You will ensure students remain engaged, focused, and on task, helping to maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervising pre-set lessons across KS3 and KS4
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Delivering clear instructions and ensuring students stay on task
Supporting students where appropriate with their learning activities
Providing feedback to teaching staff on student engagement and behaviourThe Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
Be confident managing groups of students in a classroom setting
Be professional, adaptable, and reliable
Be open to both full-time and part-time opportunities
Show a genuine interest in education and supporting young people
