Are you an experienced Medical Secretary looking for your next challenge in private healthcare?
We're recruiting for a Lead Medical Secretary to join a highly regarded specialist healthcare practice in Chelsea. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of consultant clinic management, patient pathways, and operational processes while delivering an exceptional patient experience. 🌟
What you'll be doing:
✅ Managing busy consultant clinics and complex appointment schedules
✅ Coordinating patient pathways from initial booking through to follow-up care
✅ Handling patient enquiries via phone and email with professionalism and empathy
✅ Overseeing private patient and medical insurer billing, authorisations, and queries
✅ Maintaining accurate patient, billing, and administrative records
✅ Liaising with consultants, hospitals, laboratories, pharmacies, and insurers
✅ Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
✅ Identifying opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency
✅ Helping to enhance the overall patient experience and support business growth
What we're looking for:
🔹 Previous experience as a Medical Secretary, Senior Medical Secretary, Patient Pathway Coordinator, or similar healthcare professional is essential
🔹 Experience managing multiple clinics and high-volume appointment diaries
🔹 Knowledge of private patient billing and medical insurance processes
🔹 Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
🔹 Strong communication skills with a patient-focused approach
🔹 A proactive, solutions-driven mindset with the confidence to take ownership
🔹 Ability to prioritise competing workloads in a busy environment
🔹 Understanding of confidentiality and professional standards within healthcare
🔹 Experience using Carebit and/or a dermatology background would be highly advantageous
