Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be exclusively partnered with a market-leading UK manufacturer to appoint a Head of Manufacturing on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is a Yorkshire based role and we are keen to speak with people local to the region who can take on a big leadership brief from day one.
The salary sits between £80,000 and £100,000 depending on experience, and the working pattern is one of the strongest we have seen for a role of this scale.
The Role
As Head of Manufacturing you will take ownership of a large, fast paced assembly operation and lead a workforce of around 400 people.
- Full accountability for safety, quality, delivery and productivity across the site
- Leading a large, multi layered team through a period of sustained operational demand
- Driving a lean and continuous improvement culture that gets tangible results, not just paperwork
- Setting the standard on shop floor leadership, visible and present with your teams
- Developing your management team and building a pipeline of future leaders
- Working closely with senior stakeholders to shape manufacturing strategy for the site
The Person
- An established manufacturing leader with genuine Head of Manufacturing, Operations Director or Site Director level experience
- A background in fast paced, high volume assembly environments
- Strong lean manufacturing credentials with a track record of driving real improvement
- A proven history of developing people and building capability within a team
- Comfortable leading at scale, ideally having managed teams of a similar size
- Available on a short notice period or able to work with your current employer to get there quickly
Our client wants to move quickly for the right person but is prepared to wait a short notice period if that is what it takes to get the right Head of Manufacturing in place. There is no guarantee, but genuine potential for this role to develop into something more permanent within the wider business for the right individual.
