How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Alongside this, you’ll play an important role in developing the curriculum, supporting growth, strengthening employer and progression opportunities and contributing to the wider direction of the faculty. If you have the ICT expertise and leadership experience to take this curriculum forward, we’d like to hear from you. Apply today to join Yeovil College.

What we're looking for:

*

Curriculum leadership experience, with the ability to lead, support and motivate colleagues and drive high standards across a curriculum area.

*

Strong knowledge of ICT and vocational, technical and apprenticeship provision, alongside recent relevant industry experience and an understanding of career pathways.

*

A learner-first approach, with a genuine commitment to improving teaching, learning and the overall student experience.

*

Confident with data and performance, able to use insight and analysis to identify priorities, solve problems and drive continuous improvement.

*

Strong communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to build productive relationships and engage effectively with students, colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.

*

Relevant professional qualifications, including a Level 6 qualification in an ICT-related subject and Level 5 teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards the required qualifications), alongside Level 2 English and Maths.

What we offer:

*

Annual Salary: £39,917 - £45,539 depending on skills and experience

*

Additional annual salary supplement between £3,000 to £5,000

*

Full-time position, 37 hours per week, all year round.

*

Generous pension scheme of 26.68% employer contributions

*

Staff discount scheme with high street and online retailers

*

Opportunities for professional development and career growth

*

Employee assistance programme

*

Free onsite gym

*

Subsidised catering facilities

*
