About the Role
We're looking for an inspiring Aviation / Travel & Tourism Lecturer to equip the next generation with the skills, knowledge, behaviours and confidence to succeed in the aviation industry. This is more than a teaching role – it's an opportunity to shape futures, inspire and prepare learners for exciting careers in a fast-paced global sector.
Using your industry experience, empathy and expertise, you'll deliver engaging and innovative lessons, support students both academically and pastorally, and help them develop the vocational and employability and power skills employers value most such as resilience, decision making, communication and team player skills. You’ll motivate learners to achieve their best, build strong industry links, and create meaningful pathways into higher education and employment.

What You’ll Do
* Be the Expert: Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment that bridges the gap between textbooks and the industry.
* Ignite Ambition: Use your enthusiasm to motivate learners, helping them master technical skills and reach their full potential.
* Build the Bridge: Develop vital industry links to provide students with "gold-standard" work experience and clear career pathways.
* Collaborate & Innovate: Work within a supportive team at our Rotherham Campus, using practical, theoretical, and digital tools to make learning stick.
You will…
* Candidates should be an effective and motivated team player, with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues and management to achieve strategic and organisational objectives.
* You will hold a vocational qualification at Level 3 or above and industry experience, as well as a relevant teaching qualification and assessors award, or be willing to work towards. You will hold a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths or be willing to work towards.
* You will be able to bring the subject to life, using combined methods of practical, theoretical and digital which will engage your learners and provide them with the best skills, knowledge and behaviours for the future.

Department Info
You’ll be line-managed by a dedicated Curriculum Manager and work closely with our Team Leaders and other Lecturers in a collaborative environment where your industry insights are truly valued.
