How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

Psychology Teacher – Sixth Form & A-Level Psychology
Location: Hertsmere, Hertfordshire
Salary: £34,398 - £52,490 (M1 - UPS3)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2026
Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary applies to candidates with substantial teaching experience.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and inspiring Psychology Teacher to join a successful secondary school and growing Sixth Form in Hertfordshire. This permanent Psychology Teacher position is ideal for a passionate educator who can inspire students to explore human behaviour, psychological theory and contemporary research through engaging and challenging lessons.

The successful Psychology Teacher will join a supportive department where Psychology is a popular and well-established subject. Whether you are an experienced Psychology Teacher or an ambitious ECT, this role offers excellent opportunities for professional growth and career progression.

The Role

As a Psychology Teacher, you will:

• Deliver high-quality A-Level Psychology lessons.
• Inspire students to develop critical thinking, analytical and research skills.
• Monitor progress and use assessment effectively to raise achievement.

• Support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes.

Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS.
• Degree in Psychology or a related subject.
