Are you a Chemistry graduate looking to kick-start your career within a specialist laboratory environment? Or do you already have some laboratory experience and want to develop your skills working with chemicals, fuels, oils, hazardous substances, and specialist products?
Our client is seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a busy laboratory, supporting the testing, analysis and development of products supplied to a range of specialist industries.
The Role
* Conduct laboratory testing and analysis of fuels, oils, chemicals, water samples and related products.
* Prepare, handle and blend chemical and fuel samples.
* Calibrate, maintain and standardise laboratory equipment.
* Record, analyse and report test results accurately.
* Support quality control procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations when handling hazardous substances.
About You
* Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline preferred.
* Previous laboratory experience is desirable, whether gained through employment, placements or internships.
* Experience working with chemicals, fuels, lubricants, oils, petroleum products or other hazardous substances would be highly advantageous.
* Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to work.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Keen to develop a long-term career within a laboratory environment.
* Must be able to drive due to the location.
