How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Overtime paid at time and 1 half, day off on your birthday, manufacturer training, clear progression pathways, Enhanced Maternity and Paternity support, 4 times salary death-in-service cover, 24hr GP access.

    £18 per hour plus £15 daily late shift allowance (where applicable). Overtime paid at time and a half. ( CIRCA BASIC SALARY - £41,340)

    Alternating weekly shifts, Monday to Friday 06:00-14:30 and 13:30-22:00. Saturday work available every other week and paid at the overtime rate.

    HGV Technician Opportunity
    We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a professional workshop team in Nuneaton. This HGV Technician position offers excellent career development, ongoing manufacturer training, and opportunities to further enhance your technical expertise.

    You will work on commercial vehicles, trailers, and fleet equipment, ensuring maximum reliability, safety, and roadworthiness. The successful HGV Technician will benefit from continuous learning, modern facilities, and a supportive working environment.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Carry out major and minor repairs on heavy goods vehicles, trailers, and commercial transport units.
    Complete routine servicing, inspections, preventative maintenance, tyre replacement, and lubrication tasks.
    Maintain workshop stock levels and ensure work areas remain organised and clean.
    Assist colleagues with fault finding, diagnostics, and repair planning.
    Keep accurate service records and maintenance documentation.
    Attend roadside breakdowns and provide emergency assistance when required.
    Process warranty claims and complete all associated paperwork correctly.
    Follow health, safety, and industry regulations at all times.We are very keen to hear from HGV Technicians that have the following:-

    Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
    Experience within commercial vehicle or trailer maintenance.
    Ability to identify defective or worn components in line with DVSA standards.
    Full UK driving licence relevant to vehicle categories operated.
    Diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities.
    IRTEC accreditation is advantageous but not essential.Why Apply?
