Deliver engaging English lessons using pre-prepared resources
Teach English language and literature across relevant key stages
Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment
Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
Support pupils’ engagement and progress during lessons
Follow existing schemes of work without planning responsibilities
Provide verbal feedback to pupils during lessons
Work collaboratively with department staff and support teamsIdeal English Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching English at secondary level
Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
Ability to deliver lessons effectively without planning or marking duties
Professional, reliable, and adaptable approach
Strong communication skills
