We are recruiting for an experienced Document Controller to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor delivering major new-build commercial construction projects.
To be considered for this position you must be within a 45 minute commute of Lincoln.
Based within the project team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling all project documentation, ensuring information is accurately recorded, distributed and maintained throughout the construction process.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain the project document control system
• Control the issue, distribution and revision of drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• Ensure project information is correctly uploaded, recorded and distributed to relevant parties
• Maintain accurate drawing registers and document trackers
• Manage incoming and outgoing project correspondence
• Ensure the project team is working from the latest approved drawings and information
• Coordinate documentation between design teams, consultants, subcontractors and the site team
• Monitor outstanding documentation and chase information where required
• Maintain accurate records for approvals, RFIs, technical submissions and design information
• Assist with the preparation and collation of handover documentation and O&M manuals
• Support the Design Manager, Project Manager and wider project team with information management
• Ensure document control procedures comply with company and project requirements
Candidate Requirements
• Previous Document Controller experience within the construction industry
• Main contractor or Tier 1 construction experience preferred
• Experience working on new-build commercial projects advantageous
• Good understanding of construction drawings and project documentation
• Experience using electronic document management systems such as Viewpoint/4Projects, Asite, Aconex, Procore or similar
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident communicating with site teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients
• Able to manage a high volume of documentation while maintaining accuracy
• Ability to work independently as part of a busy construction project team
