Sustainability Transformation Officer

As Sustainability Transformation Officer you will contribute to reaching our mission 'Growing a Better World Together'. You will be a key player in driving our Rabobank Group-wide sustainability ambitions and plans, managing the strategic sustainability roadmap and monitoring its execution. In this role you will work on a broad spectrum of transformation topics ranging from sustainability data & IT to change management.
As part of the Transformation team, you will support and cooperate with your colleagues in continuously improving and executing the strategic steering cycle, including the planning and progress reporting to different bodies, such as the Critical Execution Priority Office and the Managing Board.
Through your contribution, the bank is in control and has a clear view on the direction and status of the Sustainability transformation.
Get results
As a Sustainability Transformation Officer you work on:
- Closely partnering with senior Transformation officers as a trusted advisor on the Rabobank Group-wide sustainability ambitions and plans for the coming years;
- Support managing and overseeing the execution of the sustainability roadmap, a.o. Through dependency, risk and impediment management, for example on supporting the coordination of the group-wide sustainability learning curriculum or supporting the interbank cooperation project (ESG Data project);
- Reporting on the status and progress of the sustainability ambitions and roadmap to different bodies, such as the group-wide sustainability Implementation Team (IMT), the Critical Execution Priority Office (CEP) and the Managing Board;
- Taking the lead to prepare meetings and committees (e.g. Defining Terms of Reference, preparing presentations, meeting agendas, action management, minutes, supporting retrospectives, etc.);
- Managing the project structure, governance and progress management and use of Wave (strategic reporting tool), our Implementation Dashboard.

Organisation
Reporting to the Manager Sustainability Transformation, you will work closely with various stakeholders across the organization, including HR, business, Risk, and L&D leads across the organization, as well as your colleagues within Group Sustainability.

Having the ability to communicate and cooperate with senior stakeholders and being a result driven team player are clearly essential for the role of Sustainability Transformation Officer. As a leader within Rabobank you take responsibility, facilitate and inspire the team, you actively seek for in- and external collaboration and you make the difference for the community. In addition, it's important that you recognise yourself in the checklist below:
- 3-5 years' experience in management/strategy consulting, or medior change/project management roles in large scale organizations in regulated industries
- Inclusive and growth mindset: respect, open-mindedness, an eagerness to learn and grow as a professional and a keen eye for improvement potential to accelerate the Sustainability transformation
- Strong conceptual thinker with a hands-on mentality
- Excellent writing and presentation / powerpoint skills, including the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely
- Capable of conveying complex concepts in a logical and coherent manner a.o. In professional presentations (e.g. MECE, pyramid principle etc.), with attention for detail
- Strong collaborator, networker and optimistic team player, with focus on impact and results
- Fluent in English and MS Office at a professional level (PowerPoint/Excel). Experience with PPM tooling preferred, or have a willingness to learn. We use McKinsey's WAVE solution, Azure DevOps, and MS PowerBI.
- Passion for, and basic understanding of, sustainability regulations and standards, as well as affinity with process management, organizational change management and data/technology.
This is what we offer you
- Up to € 6.130,64 gross per month (scale 9) based on 36 hours;
- An Employee Benefit Budget. You decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions or even receiving a monthly cash payout;
- Hybrid way of working;
- A pension scheme, to which your contribution is only 3,5 or 5,5%.
