Role and Responsibilities
How You Make a Difference
As a Tax Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely tax filings, managing compliance risks, and improving financial processes. You will work closely with internal teams and tax authorities, analyzing tax implications and implementing best practices. With strong analytical skills and attention to detail, you will thrive in a data-driven environment while collaborating across departments to optimize tax compliance and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling and processing tax filings and compliance matters accurately and on time.
- Validating and preparing tax declarations while ensuring compliance with European tax regulations.
- Managing tax payments and following up with tax authorities.
- Analyzing and improving tax processes to enhance efficiency.
- Supporting internal audits and ensuring proper documentation for tax reviews.
- Collaborating with tax consultants and regulatory authorities.
- Preparing financial reports related to tax, including turnover and compliance analyses.
- Monitoring and managing tax-related budgets to prevent overspending.
- Reviewing and processing approved tax-related adjustments and claims.
Skills and Qualifications
What Are Your Assets
- HBO or MBO+ level in fiscal, financial, or management accounting.
- Between 2 and 4 years of experience in filing VAT or CIT.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in tax compliance and financial processes.
- Proactive in improving and optimizing tax processes, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Good knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office, essential for managing tax-related tasks.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, is an advantage.
- Experience in financial accounting, month-end and year-end closing (statutory accounting).
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in interactions with tax authorities, auditors, and tax consultants.
- Affinity for problem-solving and managing complex tax compliance challenges.
