What are you going to do?As CTO at S&dB, you spearhead the technological advancement of revolutionary seed-embedding technology and machinery for regenerative agriculture. You balance strategic vision with hands-on leadership, guiding the R&D team through development, industrialization, and scaling of the vSET planting machine, production line, and seed-tape technology.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Lead design, development and industrialization of vSET planting machine, production line, and seed-tape technology
- Structure innovation processes with clear milestones, deliverables and deadlines
- Oversee validation trials with growers and integrate customer feedback into product iterations
- Develop data strategy with R&D colleagues to substantiate value proposition
- Build, manage and train a multidisciplinary team across mechanical engineering, agronomy, data and automation
- Develop IP strategy and protect core technologies
- Collaborate with CEO and management team to translate technical developments into commercial opportunities
- Contribute to investor discussions by providing technical insights and progress reports

Job requirements:
- Master's degree in a technical field (agricultural engineering, mechanical engineering or similar)
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience with significant time in agricultural sector or agritech
- Proven track record scaling technical products from prototype to commercial application
- Experience leading multidisciplinary R&D teams and managing external partners
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
- Proficiency in MS Office and technical tools (CAD, data analysis software)
