Senior Azure Cloud Engineer in Accenture’s Managed Services team. You will be responsible for the stability, resilience, and optimization of client Azure cloud environments. Manage incident resolution, break-fix activities, and change implementation, applying ITIL processes to deliver seamless service to our global clients and collaborate with our international team. You will act as a senior escalation point for critical incidents, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence. This role requires technical proficiency, effective communication, and client-facing skills to ensure delivery of exceptionally managed services.

Key Responsibilities- Break-Fix & Change Execution: Conduct root-cause analysis, post-mortems, remediate issues, and implement changes following ITIL guidelines.
- Client Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor and escalation point for clients on Azure-related incidents, service requests, and operational improvements.
- Operations & Monitoring: Ensure proactive monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity management for Azure infrastructure and services.
- Governance & Compliance: Adhere to ITIL standards, security best practices, and client governance frameworks.
- Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work with global delivery teams, service managers, and architects to implement operational improvements and knowledge transfer.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency using tools like Zabbix, Terraform, GitHub, PowerShell automation, Ansible.
- Agile/Automation & IAM: Remain agile to shifting priorities; optimize cost and performance; promote automation and infrastructure-as-code; refine incident response strategies for resilience.
- Mentorship & Team Growth: Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of excellence.
- People & Technology: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless cloud service operation; communicate effectively and mentor teammates.
- Work Environment: Some in-person collaboration may be required; Accenture supports flexible work arrangements to accommodate work/life needs.
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on IT operations, troubleshooting, and managed services support.
- Strong technical expertise in Microsoft Azure Cloud (infrastructure, networking, identity, monitoring, and security).
- Microsoft Azure Cloud Foundation certification or higher-level Azure certifications.
- ITIL Foundation certification with proven application (Incident, Problem, Change).
- Experience with incident resolution, break-fix, and change implementation in enterprise-scale environments.
- Strong stakeholder and communication skills, able to explain technical issues in business-friendly terms.
- Experience with scripting languages or programming skills; Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Bicep or Terraform.
- Automation experience: PowerShell, Ansible, and related IaC tooling; Zabbix experience.
- Reverse proxying and secret management knowledge; GitOps methodology.
- API Management or API usage experience; experience with CI/CD in a DevOps environment.
- Azure Certification: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), AI-900, DP-900; Azure Administrator AZ-104; DP-100 or equivalent data/AI certifications.
Preferred:
- Experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or global delivery environment.
- Automation and scripting proficiency (PowerShell, Bicep, Terraform).
- Hybrid cloud experience integrating on-premises and Azure.
- Advanced Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-700).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Ability to manage multiple incidents and priorities under pressure.
- Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
- Effective collaboration in a global, multicultural, and virtual team environment.
- Proactive in continuous learning and keeping up with evolving cloud technologies.
