- Overall responsibility for all in-country financial matters, including payments, receipts, cash management, and oversight of outsourced accounting and finance service providers.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial records, reporting, and statutory compliance.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
- Manage local banking relationships and support cash flow planning and forecasting.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
- Lead local budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Identify, assess, and communicate risks and opportunities against approved budgets and forecasts.
- Provide financial analysis and business insight to support strategic and operational decision‑making.
- Act as a trusted finance business partner to the Country Director and local leadership team.
- Support the Investment, Development, Asset Management and Property Management teams with financial analysis, business cases, investment appraisals, and commercial decision‑making.
- Provide financial support for leasing activities, customer and supplier deposits, guarantees, and other commercial arrangements.
- Review and approve development appraisals submitted to the Corporate Development team.
- Financial oversight of major procurement activities and supplier contracts.
- Review of significant commercial contracts/LA’s from a financial risk and value perspective.
- Coordinate local tax compliance activities, including VAT returns, corporate income tax provisions, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Support Group Tax on transfer pricing documentation, tax projects, and local tax matters.
- Support acquisitions, disposals, corporate restructurings, and other strategic transactions in collaboration with Group Finance, Tax, and Legal teams.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional service providers.
- Coordinate the preparation, review, and filing of annual statutory accounts for Dutch legal entities.
- Manage local corporate governance requirements, including Board resolutions, shareholder resolutions, powers of attorney, and annual general meetings.
- Ensure compliance with Dutch accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Oversee the performance and delivery of outsourced accounting, tax, payroll, and other finance service providers.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with external advisors, auditors, banking partners, and service providers.
- Drive continuous improvement of finance processes and service delivery standards through effective vendor management.
- Ensure clear ownership, accountability, and service quality across outsourced finance activities.
- Lead local finance process improvements and digitalisation initiatives.
- Act as the local finance lead for ERP implementations, upgrades, and optimisation projects, including stakeholder management, data migration, testing, training, and go‑live support.
- Ensure robust internal controls, financial governance, and risk management processes are in place and operating effectively.
- Support the continued development of Group‑wide finance policies, processes, and best practices.
- Lead the financial due diligence process for acquisitions, disposals.
- Coordinate financial integration activities following acquisitions.
- Build and develop the local finance function in line with business growth requirements.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to local finance team members as the organisation expands.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture aligned with Group values and objectives.
- Work closely with regional and Group Finance teams to support the successful delivery of business objectives.
- Proven experience in a Head of Finance or senior finance leadership role, ideally within the real estate industry.
- University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and people development skills, with experience building and motivating high performing teams.
