The BE/NL Procurement Manager is a strategic partner of operational departments to support group performance and transformation by deploying a sustainable purchasing culture, proposing & leading the implementation & roll‑out of an effective procurement process & organization company wide.
The BE/NL Procurement Manager plays a crucial role in the strategic management of the company's supply chain, ensuring that the organization's purchasing needs are met efficiently, economically, and in compliance with ethical and legal standards, and CSR policy & targets that he contributes to establish, continuously improve, and get approved by the Director of Corporate Procurement.
The BE/NL Procurement Manager also plays a key role in increasing the EBITDA of the group by being accountable for the development and hands‑on implementation of a performance & risk management plan with his internal partners, to deliver results as per targets set on major KPIs (spend covered, category strategy & plan, supplier relationship management & negotiation, contract coverage, savings & EBITDA impact, payment terms).
ResponsibilitiesContribute, adapt and implement corporate purchasing strategies
- Ensure cost reduction and avoidance : secure the best prices and terms for products and services needed by the company
- Support the development of a purchasing culture within the company : common purchasing policy, procure to pay process, …
- Quality assurance : ensure that products meet established quality standards
- Availability guarantee : ensure that necessary products are always available in sufficient quantities
- Process optimization & digitalization : ensure the optimization of processes using digitalization and automation
Ensures suppliers negotiation
- Supplier Management : select, evaluate, and manage the company’s suppliers
- CSR development : contribute to CSR plan within the company and to the control of the carbon footprint
- Demand management : secure expenditure commitment with a purchasing policy and validation workflow
Communicate and report
- Report to Corporate Procurement Director and local General Managers : follow‑up local roadmap, elevate roadblocks, communicate savings and results
Organize and manage
- Team Management : recruit, train, manage staff and develop career plans
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement : seek innovative opportunities to increase overall efficiency and performance
