What you do as an Internal & External Communications InternWith our interns, we do not expect them to come with a wealth of experience. What we are looking for is entrepreneurial spirit, a proactive approach, and a drive to learn. You will be part of the marketing team within the business line Water & Maritime, supporting with the coordination and implementation of our PR strategy and our internal communications activities.
Public Relations (PR)
Support the Public Relations (PR) & Events Manager in the execution of both reactive and proactive opportunities to build brand awareness for the company and for our three leading markets of climate resilience, water technology, and maritime. Advocating clarity of communication and promoting our brand purpose.
- assist in creating content and proofreading materials for our website, social media channels, and publications in the media
- liaise with internal stakeholders to build and enhance opportunities
- research and monitor media coverage in relevant newsworthy topics to gather external insights and provide reporting to the PR & Events Manager
- analyse the coverage of our PR communications, assessing the audience, and reporting on the impact
Internal Communications
Support with the coordination and implementation of the internal communications programme for our three leading markets of climate resilience, water technology, and maritime.
- coordinate approved plans and roll-out initiatives aligned with our W&M Internal Communications strategy
- create impactful messaging and digital assets, including communications from our CRM system, to drive engagement, and activation aligned with our Internal Communications strategy
- Assist in managing the W&M IC calendar and support the organisation and execution of internal events including live Teams calls when required
- act as a point of contact for our global Internal Communications team to ensure integration of corporate programmes in our W&M messaging, and rollout across all relevant internal channels
implement new reporting cadence to analyse the impact of employee engagement and make recommendations on how we measure and increase awareness

What you bring- bachelor’s degree student in the field of Marketing or Communications
- available for a (‘meewerk’) internship for 6 months or longer
- enthusiasm for public relations (PR) and internal communications
- outstanding organisational and time management skills, with an exceptional eye for detail
- agile and solution oriented
- a confident communicator with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- an excellent command of English, both verbal and written; Dutch is a bonus (at least B2 level)
