For the Global Business Project Organization (BPO) departments, DHL Express is looking for a motivated and results-oriented colleague who can support to develop and administer project management plans and processes to successfully deliver projects and realize its benefits while meeting cost, timeline and quality parameters in line with overall business objectives and needs.
About the teamOur Global Business Project Organization (BPO) team has a global scope and is divided in three pools of people: Project Management, Business Analysts and Service Quality. Globally our team has approximately 100 members, based in Maastricht, Kuala Lumpur and Costa Rica. Our Project Manager and Business Analyst teams focus on deploying various systems, processes and tools across the Express Finance Organization. Our Service Quality team focuses on change management, performance management, compliance services and issue resolution services.
Working within BPO is quite challenging as we are active within multiple functional areas and strongly focused on digitalization and automation (data science, robotics). Our core values Speed, Passion, "Can Do" attitude and "Right First Time" business mentality really apply to the way BPO works.
How will you contribute to the success of DHL?As an Experienced Professional (Junior) Project Manager, you are responsible for supporting the management of a project team to deliver projects primarily within the Finance function. You manage project resources, schedules and financials and adhere to stage gate quality and control guidelines throughout the full project life cycle. You ensure successful and on-time project delivery and verify that required deliverables are produced within time and cost.
- Prepare estimates of costs, resource requirements and time required to complete projects.
- Support administration of project management plans and processes.
- Design, communicate and implement an operational plan for completing a project.
- Maintain project expenditure in line with the defined budget.
- Track project milestones and report progress.
- Assist in coordination activities such as schedules, budgets and forecasts.
- Resolve operational problems and minimize delays in project delivery.
- Deliver administrative tasks such as meeting arrangements, agendas and progress reports.
- Support project benefit alignment, realization and tracking mechanisms.
- Apply understanding of business processes to administer project processes and solutions.
- Seek stakeholder feedback while challenging business decisions where needed.
- Provide functional advice or training to less experienced colleagues.
- Keep up-to-date on (technical) developments in the field.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent, ideally in Finance, IT or Business.
- Some Finance process knowledge (OTC, FA).
- Project / Program management certification (e.g., PRINCE2).
- Analytical skills with a cross-organizational mindset.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Minimum of 2 years of working experience in Project Management.
- Digital mindset and experience with automated Project Management solutions is beneficial.
