About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary IT Director to lead and manage technology infrastructure, ensuring that all IT systems, networks, and field operations run smoothly, securely, and efficiently. The IT Director will oversee Network Engineering, Field Engineering, and IT Administration teams, aligning technology strategies with the Geniox's goals and ensuring best-in-class operational performance.

This role requires a leader who can think strategically, manage cross-functional teams, and execute high-impact technology initiatives while maintaining operational excellence for high-profile B2B and public sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

• Develop and execute the company's IT strategy in alignment with organizational objectives.
• Lead and mentor Network Engineers, Field Engineers, and IT Administrators.
• Establish performance goals, KPIs, and operational standards for all IT functions.

Infrastructure & Network Operations

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of IT systems.
• Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and technology partners.

Field Engineering Oversight

• Coordinate with field teams to ensure timely deployment, support, and maintenance of hardware and systems at remote sites.
• Ensure that field operations meet quality and safety standards.

IT Administration & Support

• Direct the IT helpdesk and administrative functions to deliver efficient support services to all departments.
• Implement policies and procedures for asset management, user access, and system updates

Security & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with relevant data protection, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement best practices for disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity.

We are looking for someone with the following experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 8+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including network and systems management.
• Proven track record in managing multi-disciplinary IT teams.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking, systems architecture, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience with vendor management, budgeting, and IT project delivery.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with C-Level executives.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing and switching
• Experience with Cisco hardware and software platforms (CCNA level or equivalent experience preferred)
• Familiarity with SD-WAN platforms and mobile network concepts (e.g., LTE/5G) is an advantage
• Hands-on experience with network security tools such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar
• Familiarity with firewall policies, VPN configuration, and intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure in real-time incident scenarios
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
• Fluency inEnglish and Dutchis mandatory; additional languages are a plus
• Must be able to obtain and maintain aVerklaring Geen Bezwaar (VGB)– no criminal record permitted

• Salary in between €80.000 and €110.000 (all inclusive) depending on experience and knowledge
