What will you be doing?As a shunter, you work on the premises of a large logistics service provider specialized in the transport, handling, and temporary storage of chilled and frozen products such as meat, poultry, fresh produce, and dairy.
You play a crucial role in the logistics process. You are the link between the warehouse and transport. Using a terminal tractor, you position empty trailers at the dock so the loading team can continue their work. Once they finish, you take over again: you hook up the trailers and move them to the correct location. You're already working with heavy equipment, so solid driving skills are essential. This role is often the perfect stepping stone towards obtaining your full truck licence.
Work takes place from Monday to Friday in two shifts.
One week you work from 05:00 to 14:00.
The following week you work from 14:00 to 23:00.
There is also work on Saturdays, but this is not mandatory.
In consultation, it's possible to work every other week from 05:00 to 14:00/15:00.
Requirements:• You hold a T-licence (CE licence is an advantage)
• You live in or near Boxtel
• You speak Dutch or English
• You are comfortable working in 2 shifts
Experience with shunting is a plus
What we offer• Gross hourly wage between € 16.64 and € 20,24
A shift allowance of 8.75% on all hours worked
• Travel allowance of €0.23 per km (from 10 km onward)
• 30% overtime allowance (after 40 hours per week)
• 50% allowance for Saturday hours
