As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the full financial backbone of the organisation and act as a trusted sparring partner for the leadership team. The position offers significant responsibility from day one and a clear growth path towards a role with CFO responsibilities. What you’ll doYou will take end-to-end ownership of the finance function and act as a strategic partner to the leadership team and shareholders.
- Own the finance back office, including accounting, reporting, contracting, and controls.
- Prepare and maintain annual accounts (jaarrekeningen).
- Keeping budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with company goals.
- Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights and advice for management.
- Prepare and present shareholder-level financial decisions.
- Continuously improve financial processes to support scale and speed.
- Act as the financial “single source of truth” across the organisation.
This role goes far beyond reporting numbers, it’s about shaping decisions.
What we’re looking forYou combine strong fundamentals with a startup mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent).
- 3–5+ years of experience in accountancy or financial control.
- Strong and proven expertise in Excel (you’re fast, accurate, and structured)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions
- Sharp analytical thinking with the ability to see the full financial picture
- Proactive, ownership-driven, and comfortable advising leadership
- High learning velocity and adaptability. You grow with the company

- Experience in a fast-growing SaaS or scale-up environment
- Exposure to investor reporting or board-level interactions
