In this new position, you will play a key role within the Ausnutria Research & Development team. The team’s clinical focus is the design, set-up, conduct and exploitation of clinical studies to deliver functional benefits of our current and new goat milk based product portfolio. Furthermore, we focus on future innovation in infant and adult care based on dairy nutrition. You will be working closely together with internal colleagues in R&D, Medical Marketing, Product Development, Sales and our markets in different regions of the world. Additionally, you will collaborate with scientific professionals, Key Opinion Leaders and CROs.
Tasks and responsibilitiesAs a Clinical Study Researcher Dairy Science you will provide scientific and clinical expertise in our research and innovation projects. With your strong scientific skills and experience in clinical study methodology and analysis, you will be responsible for study design, writing of protocol, development of study documents, analysis, interpretation and reporting of the study (results) in accordance with the clinical study plan, applicable legislation and procedures in line with Ausnutria’s R&D policies. You identify and anticipate upon new developments and trends, translate these into valuable opportunities and concepts and initiate clinical research projects for introducing new and/or improved ingredients and products. You build and maintain a network of industry contacts, scientific professionals and Key Opinion Leaders. You actively participate in scientific conferences and publishing in peer reviewed scientific papers and will serve as an Internal Advisor for senior management.
Our teamOur R&D department consists of 33 people, in which the Research team is composed of 10 professionals with expertise in nutrition, processing and basic science, where high performance goes hand in hand with an informal working atmosphere with short lines of communication. In this small team with different levels of working experiences we find it important that everyone has a ‘can-do’ mentality and will lend a helping hand in busy times.
You are the fit ifYou are passionate about bringing clinical evidence to products to improve health of infants and adults through nutrition. You have a PhD in life science or related scientific discipline and have profound experience in (international) clinical research in dairy and/or infant food industry. You have a good scientific knowledge in study methodology and expertise concerning clinical research and literature data.
To be successful in this position it is important that you have:
- At least 5 years of scientific expertise in the field of dairy and/or infant food science
- Knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines, legislation, SOPs and clinical study methodology
- A network of Key Opinion Leaders/investigators/experts within dairy and/or infant food areas
- An excellent command of spoken and written English for writing protocols, study documents, papers, reports and delivering presentations
- A pragmatic attitude and be adaptable to the changing needs of the business.
- Like to work accurately and to solve complex challenges
- Good time management and organizational skills
- The ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide range of people globally
