As our Senior Talent & Business Partner for the Netherlands, you are a key reinforcement for our growing Dutch HR team. You bring senior-level expertise to strengthen our Dutch HR capacity: from attracting and recruiting the right talent, to onboarding, developing, and retaining them. You handle complex employment matters with confidence, you navigate Dutch labor law with ease, and you are a trusted sparring partner for our C-level leadership, division heads, and local managers alike.
You combine strategic thinking with a get-it-done mentality. You’re commercially aware, you understand the dynamics of a consultancy business, and you thrive under pressure – whether that’s driven by client demands, internal growth, or external partners. 🏢 What you’ll be doingBusiness partnering & HR strategy
- Strengthen our HR capacity in the Netherlands by bringing senior expertise, strategic thinking, and hands‑on execution to a growing organization.
- Act as a strategic sparring partner and sounding board for C-level executives, division heads, and global leads on workforce planning, performance, and talent strategy.
- Translate QbD’s group HR strategy into impactful local initiatives that drive real business results.
- Build trusted relationships across the organization – be the person people come to, whether it’s a manager needing advice or a colleague needing support.
- Handle sensitive and complex conversations head‑on: performance discussions, dismissals, complex talent challenges with our customers, .... You don’t shy away from the hard stuff.
Talent acquisition – always, regardless of seniority
- Recruitment is not something you grow out of – it’s the engine of a scaling business and a core part of this role. You lead by example.
- Own the full recruitment cycle for the Netherlands: from strategic workforce planning and intake, through sourcing and selection, to offer and close.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of both permanent hires and freelance consultants to support project delivery and flexible resourcing.
- Work closely with sales and delivery teams to anticipate talent needs before they become bottlenecks.
- Continuously sharpen our employer brand and recruitment processes in the Dutch market.
Employee lifecycle & people development
- Manage the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, development, performance management, career growth, and retention.
- Be a genuine “people person” – know your colleagues, understand what drives them, and create an environment where they feel seen, heard, and supported.
- Guide managers in people‑related decisions and equip them to lead their teams effectively.
- Ensure solid, compliant HR practices that reflect both Dutch labor law requirements and the principles of good employership.
Growth, change & acquisitions
- Lead the people-side of M&A integration: align HR processes, harmonize employment conditions, and drive cultural integration – when relevant, so only when acquisitions in this region are taking place.
- Support the organization by ensuring HR governance, compliance, and reporting are at a professional standard.
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities in the people domain and take decisive action – don’t wait to be asked.
International collaboration
- Work closely with HR colleagues across Europe to share best practices and contribute to group-wide initiatives.
- Be an ambassador of QbD’s JPEG culture (Joy, Partnership, Extra Mile, Getting Things Done) within the Dutch organization.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with a significant portion in a Business Partner, HR Manager, or Talent Partner role – ideally in a mid‑sized or scaling organization.
- Proven track record in recruitment and talent acquisition, including hard‑to‑fill and senior roles. Life sciences or technical profiles are a strong plus.
- Deep, hands‑on knowledge of Dutch labor law and HR practices – you’re the expert your managers can rely on without hesitation.
- Experience in consultancy, staffing, or project‑based environments where commercial awareness and client‑orientation are table stakes.
- Demonstrable experience supporting organizational growth, M&A integration, or change management.
- Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy while staying closely aligned with an international HR team and group leadership.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
