Role Purpose: The Accounting Specialist will play a vital role in the finance team at Forbion, contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. This position is crucial in ensuring that our financial processes are robust and compliant with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and possess strong accounting knowledge. This role provides an opportunity to work closely with the finance team, supporting various accounting functions that are essential to the smooth of our financial operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Debits and Credits Management:- Accurately record and manage all debit and credit transactions, ensuring all entries are correctly classified and reconciled. This includes maintaining up-to-date ledgers and supporting the month-end close process.
- Reimbursement of Accrued Expenses.
- Process reimbursements for accrued expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and accuracy in the documentation. This involves liaising with employees and external parties to resolve any discrepancies.
- Calculate and record depreciation for all company assets, ensuring that depreciation schedules are maintained accurately and in compliance with accounting standards.
- Handle the booking of accruals at month-end and year-end, ensuring that all necessary adjustments are made to reflect the company’s financial position accurately.
- Review and validate VAT specifications on invoices, ensuring compliance with relevant VAT regulations and facilitating the accurate preparation of VAT returns.
- Collaborate with the finance team to assist in the preparation of annual financial reports. This includes providing necessary documentation, performing reconciliations, and ensuring that all financial statements are accurate and complete.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports by gathering and analyzing financial data, ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of financial performance.
- Manage the process of employee expense reimbursements, ensuring all claims are processed efficiently and in accordance with company policies.
- You have proven experience in an accounting role
- You have Debits and Credits management experience
- You have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- You speak both Dutch and English fluently
- You have knowledge of Dutch VAT regulations and VAT reporting
