Proposal Engineer

We are now looking for aProposal Engineer to join ourCustomer Service team and who will assist us in making a valuable difference in the century to come. We ensure that compressors continue to operate for years to come through maintenance plans, supply of OEM parts, service calls and equipment modifications to today's technology or changed operating conditions and repairs. The position is responsible for the technical aspects of all the aftermarket solutions by assessing customer needs by combining appropriate products and services. Furthermore there is the responsability over pricing. The role will have the responsability to help customers with their RFQ in line with our price strategies. The role will be based in Zuidland (ZH) in the Netherlands and reporting in to the Head of Customer Services.

• Discussing and translating customer requirements into technical solutions with a customer-focused mindset. Focussed on our field service and repair activities.
• Studying customers RFQ’s.
• Being in contact with customers on technical requirements.
• Preparing the scope of technical proposal documents, discussion with the customer and able to sell it at a correct price level.
• Assist during technical training of local CHART business units.

• Relevant technical education (Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar).
• Technical knowledge due to working experiences as a field supervisor / work preparator who has a commercial interest.
• Technical and commercial knowledge of the various components and phases of the solution design.
• A continuous learning mindset about new customer needs and market trends.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including an open and engaging communication style.
• Ability to lead internal (kick off meetings) and external meetings (scope discussions).
• Team player, responsible, flexible.
• Fluency in English is preferred.
