Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Security Officer (TSO) to actively implement, remediate, and maintain technical security controls for iChoosr’s Information Security Management System (ISO 27001:2022) across Engineering and IT Support to ensure full audit readiness and continuous risk mitigation. In this role, you will be hands‑on in strengthening our technical security posture, translating security requirements into concrete actions across our infrastructure, cloud environment, and development processes.

You will work closely with our Legal & Privacy Officer, and with Engineering, Data, and IT Support to identify and resolve security gaps, embed security best practices into day‑to‑day technology development and operations, and ensure continuous audit readiness. As the technical owner of security controls, you will play a key role in reducing risk while supporting iChoosr’s growth and innovation. You will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This is a part‑time role (0.8 FTE), offering flexibility and close collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Your responsibilities

• Lead hands‑on remediation of technical security gaps, including patching, configuration hardening and encryption.
• Shape and maintain our security tooling landscape in close collaboration with our Solutions Architect.
• Collect, document and present technical audit evidence for ISO 27001 audits.
• Coordinate vulnerability scanning, risk prioritisation and remediation with Engineering and IT.
• Implement and audit access control measures such as MFA, PoLP and PAM.
• Embed security into the development lifecycle through secure coding and DevSecOps practices.
• Perform technical risk assessments on new and existing systems.

Your expertise

• Ability to translate ISO 27001 technical requirements into actionable work items.
• Strong analytical problem‑solving skills and security mindset.
• Pragmatic approach balancing security with business agility.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure, cloud security (Azure), networking and containerisation.

• CISSP or CISM certification (preferred).
• ISO 27001 Implementer certification (preferred).
• Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ‑500) or willingness to obtain.
• CEH or GIAC certifications are a plus.
