We’re looking for a hands-on product and tech lead who effortlessly connects technology, product, and business. Not a classic CPTO, but a pragmatic builder with vision, customer focus, and execution power—someone who will help GuestButler scale during a capital-light growth phase.
GuestButlerGuestButler is a fast-growing startup backed by Achmea Impact Ventures, automating AI-driven guest communication for campsites, holiday parks, and individual holiday home owners. We are building a system that reduces workload, streamlines processes, and improves guest ratings.
Frequently asked questions are answered automatically and contextually, tailored to the type of accommodation, the guest, and the timing.
Our product combines a smart AI chat with property-specific context, structured knowledge ingestion, and integrations with property management systems (PMS). The complexity lies not in the AI models themselves, but in the domain-specific logic, scalable knowledge structures, and operational workflows we build around the agent.
The team consists of driven co-founders: Matthijs (founder of hotelkamerveilingen.nl) and Ritchie (product operator, Ops/CX). We also have an entrepreneurial marketing lead and several developers with diverse expertise. GuestButler is already live with a strong customer portfolio, has serious backing, and is now entering a new phase: building product scalability, technical defensibility, and a robust system architecture for this market.
Product vision & execution: Set a sharp product vision that fits the hospitality/leisure market and translate this into a scalable roadmap.
Technical leadership: Lead cross-functional teams (tech, design, support, growth) and build a culture that is outcome-driven. Within the engineering team, safeguard technical quality, scalability, and stability.
AI & data integration: Apply existing LLM technology to domain-specific workflows; strong in RAG, data pipelines, and productized AI.
Validation & metrics: Work data-driven with cohort and A/B tests, validate hypotheses with rapid experiments.
Stakeholder alignment: Advocate for the product with investors, partners, and customers through compelling storytelling.
Strong dev team, but needs direction and vision: There is a strong development team, but it needs vision and guidance.
No greenfield architecture: The focus is on optimizing the existing AI agent, not starting from scratch.
Product execution and further development for scaling: Key areas are knowledge structures, data process tuning per property, and workflow lock-ins.
You bring the gravitas of a CPTO, but without the distance: Classic CPTO profiles are often too heavy or too strategic/remote at this stage—you are not.
Equity: Opportunity to join an established product with clear product-market fit signals, as a full co-founder with equity.
Build your own team: We are about to enter a new phase: scaling up. You will have the freedom to attract new engineers and build your own team.
Stable startup: You will help build GuestButler as part of the core team, with the autonomy of a startup and the support of Achmea Impact Ventures as a funder. Think: stable runway, access to a network, and venture-level sparring.
Technically literate and data-driven. A big plus: Experience with AI/agents, LLMs, NLP, RAG structures.
Product expertise and mindset: Takes user needs as a starting point and translates them into smart, scalable solutions. Acts as a user ambassador to investors and partners to strengthen funding and market position.
Hands-on: Builds the stack alongside setting strategy; not an architect at a distance.
Proactive communicator who works well with visual thinkers and pragmatists.
Pragmatic & fast: Can build on the existing stack without wanting to reinvent the wheel.
Entrepreneurial: Thinks in solutions, takes initiative, dares to take risks.
8+ years’ experience in tech/product roles, including at least 2 years in an early-stage SaaS/AI context.
Has previously built scalable products with AI components hands-on.
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams, rapid iteration, and customer-centric development.
