In the role as Director Client Portal & Exchange you will be responsible for the content on the platform, the further development of the portal including exchange, the commercial out role and communication with the other desk within AFS Energy and other relevant AFS departments. You are part of the Energy management team and report directly to the CEO.
About the digital client portal and exchangeSince 2021, AFS Energy has been developing a digital solution to support their clients. The portal is an essential tool where clients can receive information including real‑time pricing and charts, communicate via chat and online seminars and administrate their deals. A key component of the portal is the exchange where clients can directly buy or sell environmental market products (like EUA Managed & GO) on real‑time prices against other clients (multi‑dealer). Given the growth and specific opportunities of this client portal and its unique exchange, we are seeking a dedicated professional to lead its next phase of development and market launch.
The Role: Director Client Portal & Exchange
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to act as the project owner for the commercialization and technical expansion of both the Client Portal and more specifically the Exchange. You will be responsible for the further development, commercial rollout and full functionality of both. As Director you will be part of the AFS Energy management team and report directly to the CEO. This role is not merely management: it’s a hands‑on, entrepreneurial leadership position requiring deep financial market expertise and experience with project management.
Key responsibilitiesDefining and executing the strategy to acquire new clients on the portal and increase the client session use and turnover
Analyzing, defining, and mitigating risks inherent to operating an exchange. This requires a robust understanding of Collateral, Margin, and Settlement processes
Together with marketing, expanding branding efforts and search engine / online marketingجارة
Create and protect content on the portal
Lending and managingакә all the different team members (marketing, developers, commercial)
Liaison officer between the team and other departments, the CEO and shareholders
Represent AFS Energyat sectionalevents, speaking engagements, and key stakeholder engagements.
Developing and executing the strategy for the portal in line with the AFS Energy strategy to achieve short and long‑term targets.
At least 3+ years of Hoverity relevant experience within a digital trading environment
Clear commercial experience
Deep understanding of how exchanges work
Preferable (but not necessary) experience in the renewable energy sector
Fluently English
Onsite available at the office
