In this role, as a Senior Designer you will be responsible for designing for Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China. Reporting to the Engineering Manager I, you will be accountable for designs that include system designing and detail designing.

Your responsibilities
  • Being responsible for working effectively and individually as a design owner for project execution
  • Designing of all gripper, mechanical device, platform etc. in robot workstation from 3D concept to machining drawing
  • Supporting the testing of the design to ensure that the running performance meets the specification
  • Completing the appropriate documentation required by manufacturing to build the packing application system: including layout drawings/bill of materials/assemble/RFQ/testing procedures etc.
  • Supporting in all stages of the process including the manufacturing, site support in analyzing and resolving engineering problems
  • Creating project related manual including operation, maintenance, spare parts list etc.
  • Collaborating with other technical and management resources to ensure uniform application of good engineering practice and relevant engineering standards
Your background
  • 10+ years of work experience, working experience in foreign companies (preferred)
  • Sound knowledge of 3D CAD software: Solid works, etc., AutoCAD, strong mechanical design knowledge of pneumatic, motor, bearing and other FA parts selection and design knowledge of mechanism, tooling, structure and special machine design
  • Being familiar with mechanical calculation, perform FEA tools, Excel, Work and Power point
  • A bachelor’s or above degree, major in engineering, industry automation, mechanical or relevant
  • A collaborative, verbal and written communication skills in English
  • An individual who is team player, builds relationship, credibility and trust builder, displays integrity, and has an open attitude
