The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We’re currently recruiting an experienced Electrical Authorised Person (AP) to join a major infrastructure project in Harpenden.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical professional who is confident working within a high-standard, safety-critical environment and has the technical knowledge and authority to oversee electrical systems, isolations and safe working practices across a busy construction project.
You’ll be joining an established project team working for a leading UK infrastructure contractor, with the opportunity to play a key role in ensuring electrical works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project procedures.
The Role
As the Electrical AP, you will take responsibility for the safe control and management of electrical systems and associated activities on site.
Working closely with the project management and engineering teams, you’ll ensure electrical works are planned and carried out in accordance with the relevant procedures, permits and safety requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Acting as the appointed Electrical Authorised Person in accordance with project procedures.
* Managing and controlling electrical isolations and energisation activities.
* Reviewing and authorising electrical permits and safe systems of work.
* Ensuring electrical switching and isolation procedures are correctly followed.
* Supporting the development and implementation of electrical safe systems of work.
* Reviewing electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
* Working closely with engineers, subcontractors and site management.
* Providing technical guidance on electrical safety and operational requirements.
* Maintaining accurate records of isolations, permits, switching and electrical activities.
* Supporting inspections, testing, commissioning and energisation activities.
* Ensuring works comply with relevant legislation, standards and project requirements.
* Identifying electrical risks and implementing appropriate control measures.
* Promoting a strong safety culture across the project.
