HR Administrator
Location: Coventry
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 7:00am – 4:30pm, Monday – Thursday

Groomfield Recruitment are currently recruiting for an HR Administrator to join our client’s HR team in Coventry. One of the biggest benefits of this role is the working pattern – you’ll work Monday to Thursday, 7:00am to 4:30pm, with the business completely closed every Friday.

Working closely with the Head of Human Resources, you will provide efficient and confidential administrative support across a wide range of HR activities. You’ll play an important role in supporting the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to absence management and employee relations processes.
The Role
As an HR Administrator, your key responsibilities will include:
* Providing comprehensive HR administration and day-to-day support to the Head of HR.
* Supporting recruitment and selection, including advertising vacancies, issuing offers and contracts, and completing pre-employment checks.
* Processing documentation for new starters and leavers and supporting employee inductions.
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR information systems.
* Managing daily absence records and producing weekly reports and HR metrics.
* Signposting employees and managers to relevant HR policies and procedures, escalating more complex queries where appropriate.
* Supporting formal HR meetings, including investigations, disciplinaries, appeals, Works Council and Health & Safety Committee meetings.
* Preparing letters, taking accurate minutes and completing follow-up documentation.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and confident managing their own workload. You will have a professional and approachable manner, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and managers at all levels.
Ideally, you will have:
* CIPD Level 3 qualification or be working towards it.
* Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within an HR environment.
* An understanding of HR and employment processes.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
