Location: Denton, Greater Manchester

Hours:
• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
• Friday: 08:00 – 13:00
• Flexible start times available between 06:00 – 08:00, subject to management discretion
• Overtime available at management discretion:
• First 10 hours at x1.5
• Additional hours at x2

Pay Rate:
Final rate to be confirmed following assessment of skills and experience

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC lathes, producing precision aerospace components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards.

The company primarily uses Mazak CNC lathes with Mazatrol controls, but candidates with Fanuc or Siemens experience will also be considered.

Full training will be provided to help successful candidates learn Mazatrol, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner looking to develop their skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Program, set and operate CNC lathes
• Manufacture complex aerospace components from detailed engineering drawings
• Work to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
• Carry out in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment
• Work to AS9100 and other aerospace quality standards
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to maintain compliance and efficiency
• Develop Mazatrol programming skills through training and on-the-job support

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner within a precision engineering or aerospace environment
• Experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes
• Fanuc, Siemens or Mazatrol experience considered
• Mazatrol experience is desirable but not essential – full training provided
• Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
• Experience working to tight tolerances
• Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality standards is advantageous
• High attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving approach
