Nursery Housekeeper

This position is an part time role.

Eligibility: The successful candidate must have the legal right to work in the UK prior to commencing employment. Please note that this role is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future.

Role Overview

This role includes maintaining high standards of hygiene across the nursery. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a clean and well-maintained environment for children and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping Duties:

· Ensure all nursery areas, including playrooms, bathrooms, staff rooms, and communal spaces, are cleaned to the highest standard.

· Carry out daily cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces.

· Clean and disinfect high-touch areas and equipment in line with nursery policies.

· Manage laundry duties, including washing and drying nursery towels, cleaning cloths and stocking them.

· Ensure that all toilets are regularly cleaned, well-stocked with essential supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels), and maintained throughout the day.

· Monitor cleaning supplies and notify management when stock replenishment is needed.

· Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a hygienic and safe environment for children and staff.

What We Are Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have:

· Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.

· Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.

· Previous experience in a cleaning role would be an advantage.

· Familiarity with cleaning products and equipment is beneficial.

· Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and parents.

· Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping (preferred).

· Knowledge of health & safety regulations (or willingness to undertake training).
