How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Social Worker - Assessment NE

    Overview

    We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our Assessment team in the North East region. As a Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals and families through assessment, intervention, and advocacy, ensuring they receive the care and resources they need to lead fulfilling lives.

    Responsibilities

    Conduct thorough assessments of individuals and families to determine needs, strengths, and risks.
    Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
    Provide emotional support, counselling, and guidance to clients facing various social challenges.
    Advocate for clients' rights and access to community resources and services.
    Maintain accurate and confidential case records in compliance with organisational and legal standards.
    Work collaboratively with other professionals, agencies, and community organisational to enhance service delivery.
    Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices.
    Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of work, ensuring respectful and culturally sensitive support.

    Qualifications

    Accredited Social Work qualification (e.g., degree in Social Work) and registration with the relevant professional body.
    Experience in assessment and intervention within social care settings.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage empathetically with diverse populations.
    Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and safeguarding procedures.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
    Commitment to upholding principles of diversity, equality, and inclusion in practice.
    Resilience and ability to manage challenging and complex situations with professionalism.

    Day-to-Day

    Conduct face-to-face assessments and home visits with clients.
    Attend and contribute to team meetings, case conferences, and supervision sessions.
    Liaise with external agencies to coordinate support and resources.
    Complete documentation and reports promptly and accurately.
    Respond to urgent concerns or crises as they arise.
    Continuously reflect on practice to improve outcomes for clients.
